Starcraft WarSoup Report: Come Have A Drink At Barcraft

Hello and welcome to the Starcraft WarSoup Report. Your source for the most recent Starcraft 2 news, all in one place. This will be a short edition of the WarSoup Report, because I’d like to introduce you to a new Starcraft related phenomenon called “Barcraft”.
Starcraft 2 has come a long way since it first came out in July of 2010 and the competitive nature of the Starcraft series has made this video game grow big, so big that nowadays just about every weekend you can find a Starcraft 2 tournament being streamed at Twitch.tv.
And what keeps all this alive? It is the fans. Some of these tournaments, like Major League Gaming or GomTV Star-League get thousands of viewers at the live events and millions of views at post-tournament video.
And to make this even more awesome, fans have created their own Starcraft events. They are called “Barcraft”. Fans all over the globe prepare meet ups at local bars and restaurants with other Starcraft fans to spectate some of these major tournaments. It’s the perfect mix of Starcraft, cool people, food and drinks. Barcrafts happen often, there is one almost for every big live tournament out there.

Now you may be thinking, why would someone want to watch other people play a video game? The answers are many but it’s mostly because fans love to see the intensity of Starcraft to its fullest, pro-gamers dedicate their life to this so called “e-sport” and since they try their best at every competition these events have a really high level of play and an impressive response from the fans following the tournaments.

The next big event in the Starcraft 2 world is MLG Providence, this event looks promising all around and it’s taking place this weekend from November 18th to the 20th and yes there will be Barcrafts happening everywhere. To find where there is a Barcraft event near you, click HERE.

Or you can find some more information about every individual Barcraft at the official Barcraft reddit page.

So, if you like competitive gaming and have a legal age to get in one of these bars don’t think it twice and attend to one, who know, you may end up meeting some cool people and knowing a new bar for those moments when you need to drink and a good time.

For a little taste of how awesome Barcraft is, here is a short video reaction to the last MLG final. Absolutely insane!

And that’s all for now, tune in back next time when I’ll bring you all the tasty warsoup details about MLG Providence, news and the upcoming events in the Starcraft World.

Until then, keep on watching those Starcraft replays and if you meet a nice guy/girl at your local Barcraft, your welcome!
