DC Universe Online is going Free to Play!
It’s a good time for DC fans, first you get Arkham City (Read our review HERE) and now this. DC Universe Online has gone ahead and launched a “free-to-play” model. A few days ago Sony Online Entertainment gave a live webcast unveiling this new change. You can watch it below.
This free model will begin on November 1st but you can still choose a paid model if you feel so inclined. There will be a total of three ways to subscribe to the game.
Legendary Status: (Current subscribers) $15 a month will give you all of the DLC, increased inventory slots and more.
Premium Status: Spend a total of $5 in the game store and get the standard amount of character and inventory slots and more. Returning gamers will be automatically promoted to Premium without having to spend money.
Free Status: Basic game settings with reduced slots and trading capabilities.
