Costume Quest On Steam
Double Fine’s adorable little Halloween-themed RPG, Costume Quest, has come out on Steam just in time for Halloween. It includes the expansion pack, Grubbins on Ice absolutely free. You can purchase it HERE for just $14.99.
It’s the perfect game to play around Halloween and I dare say it’s one of the finest RPG’s ever made…period! In fact, I’m playing it right now, even though I’ve beaten it two times already. It’s sort of becoming a Halloween tradition for me. You can read our review on the DLC, Grubbins On Ice, HERE. In fact I was hoping for more DLC this year but I guess the Steam release will have to do for now.
If you’re not familiar with Costume Quest it’s a fun little adventure about some kids who fun into trouble in their neighborhood on the night of Halloween. What makes the game so special is the amount of humor in the game (seriously make sure you read all the dialogue, it’s phenominal) and the fact that the kids literally become their costumes when in battle, because of their imagination you see. If you’re worried you might not like the game because of the RPG elements, fear not, the battle system is pretty shallow and it never gets boring. Here’s the synopsis from Steam:
