Arkham City Sidekicks
Arkham City is almost here! Can you smell the Gotham sewer water seeping in the streets? Can you hear the batarangs cut through the night air? Did you catch a glimpse of the black and blue as Nightwing glides across the city? Wait, what was that?
The game is almost here and as a follow up to our recent Arkham City breakdown we wanted to throw a little dessert at you. Nightwing has indeed been confirmed as a playable character in Arkham City.
Dick Grayson fans will be happy to know that Nightwing will be playable. Though maybe not as playable as you would like. The games trophy list reveals that he will have his own challenge maps where the player can take control and fight crime. The above image is the actual character model in the game. The developers really wanted to make sure this game has just about everybody in the Batman universe. I hope they are leaving some for the next Batman game. Oh and if you buy useless digital junk then you can buy a Nightwing t-shirt for your Microsoft avatar HERE.
Above is a Robin feature video. It shows off his fighting moves along with a little taste of what his challenge maps will be like. I’m not gonna lie, I’m kind of looking forward to playing as Robin.
Times Square will be teaming up with Toys R Us to give you the game one day early. The central Manhattan location of the popular toy chain will make the much-anticipated game available on Monday, October 17 — a full day before it officially hits shelves. Only 500 copies of the game will be available at the event, and the first 100 customers to pre-order a copy through the store’s “Personal Shopping Department” will have a chance to get their game autographed by DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee, Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy, and Arkham City game director Sefton Hill.
Graphitti Designs will be offering another DC Direct exclusive figure at this years New York Comic Con, October 13-16th. This one will be of the Arkham City Joker (Sickened Variant) Figure. Wristband required for purchase of figure (Booth #1154).
