Today will mark a brand new direction for the NFL Endzone podcast. Tonight we will record our very first LIVE video podcast. We will start out by using Ustream until we find something better to us. The show will still be mostly the same, with the normal football talk and the occasional guest caller. The video will be record and will replay all week.
Do not be afraid though we will still have are audio version as well. Which will not lose any quality. If anything the quality will be better. Although those listening to the audio version may miss some jokes about what is going on the screen.

On March 23rd, the NFL teams owners voted with a 28-4 vote to enact a change to the overtime rule for the playoffs. This will be the first major Gameplay change under Roger Goodell. The change is a long time coming. Lately the fans, players and owners have been getting upset about the old rules, when the game ends on a mistake from a Ref, a missed tackle or a long field goal.
As everyone knows during the old rules. The team who won the coin toss could win the game by driving down the field and scoring a field goal or a touchdown. Under the new rules the team who wins the coin toss can only win the game with a touchdown. While, they can still win with a field goal, if they are able to stop the other team from scoring. The rule assures that both teams have a chance on offense as long as their defense can hold on.
The change is a great change for the NFL. The old adage that who ever wins the coin toss wins the game. Will now be thrown out. It will do a lot to ease the pressure on the refs and teams, during those overtime games. Currently this rule is only in effect during the playoffs. They will vote whether to add it to the regular season.
